Complesso Palazzo Vescovile |
The 17th century church of Sant' Antonio, together with the nearby churches of San Vincenzo and San Domenico, are part of the Bishop's Palace complex. They haven't been any longer used for religious functions for a long time and the top floor has been converted into a conference room.
The church of San Vincenzo dates back to the 6th century and holds the monument of its founder, Baron G. Starrabba. It follows the Baroque style with finely decorated stuccos and coffered wooden ceiling. The ex Dominican Convent, built on late medieval ruins, also follows the baroque style and contains a cloister with stone columns. It now houses the Bishop's Seminary.
