Palazzo Trigona di Canicarao |
This elegant seventeenth century building, highlighted by its ornamental facade, has a wide portal, covered by a wide balcony, above which a shielded eagle, symbol of the family Trigona di Canicarao, stands out.
The lateral facade, that overlooks Largo Demani, is certainly of more value, while inside, unfortunately, little is visible of its antique splendor, because a series of interventions, performed by the various owners, over the years, have spoiled the original architectural features.
Most attractive is the self-supporting, stone stairway that looks into the interior courtyard.
